Hi, I went to Australia I noticed they want £5 a day roaming!
I turned off roaming and Data on my phone
When I got back I had charges of 4.99 per day for the 14 days I was away.
I only used the wifi in my flat did not go on internet when outside and I had turned it off.
Big argument on phone how dare they override my turning off? no answer you must have used it!!
Anyone else experience this problem? Any joy with o2?
help appreciated
Marcie

Hi @Anonymous Not sure how you could have been charged the 4.99 a day if you had data roaming/mobile data turned off at all times. If you feel you are right and O2 are wrong then you need to make a complaint https://www.o2.co.uk/how-to-complain
you can also check your usage via My O2 http://www.o2.co.uk/myo2

Sending just one text triggers the daily charge. Have a look at the breakdown of your bill to see what the charges are for. £70 on top of your bill is a lot of money but there usually is a reason for it.
Try calling again and ask politely if they can reduce the charges. A reasonable approach always gets better results than fighting on the phone.
