iphone 6 and plus refresh unlock

if i buy the iphone 6 and request the unlock code straight away will it be accepted or is it 6 months again?

Wow, that's disappointing, 12 months is more than 'a while'! It doesn't fit with the official message, 'We're prioritising our stock of these devices for customers who want to use them on the O2 network', as there's no supply issue anymore and hasn't been for some time. Finger's crossed they'll open this up sooner
