Part of O2 terms and conditions. They never unlock a newly released iPhone for approximately 6 months...OR unless you pay for the device in full....

@PhoneChanger thats not true. This sentence is taken directly from the link I provided initially
"If you've got an iPhone 7 or 7 Plus, you won't be able to get it unlocked unless you've paid off your Device Plan in full."

@PhoneChanger. All I can say is, unless O2 change the information which is clearly laid out in their own t&c's they are duty bound to unlock if that criteria has been met. Many people would have bought the device knowing that was a condition of sale. I will ask @Toby if he can get further information. O2 could be accused of misselling under those circumstances
