Just a quick question regarding the iPhone 6. Will customers due an upgrade for their phone be given priority over pre-orders of the iphone 6?

@Anonymous I pre-ordered/upgraded to the 6+, 128gb in gold on Friday at midday and completed the transaction at about 3:30 pm due to system chrashes. Live Chat advised today it would be 8 weeks before delivery.

 

Interestingly, I've just got off the phone from CS 202 and she had advised that the 8 week delivery time is for those placing pre-orders now! She has advised I was one of the first to pre-order so I should get my earlier and if my status of myO2 doesn't change to dispacthed I should phone them on Friday (19th) and they will be able to advise what stock they have and when mine will be dispatched.

 

The messages and information between CS 202 and Live Chat are confusing and not consistent.

Just called 202, every order is showing as awaiting dispatch, and this does not mean it will be Friday.

 

She said currently no one can be promised it will arrive for home delivery on 19th as they don't know, not even the upgrade guys know.

 

For once, from my conversation with the lady at customer service, this is information I believe.

 

After several dealings with online chat and 202 calls, the information always seemed like it was to fob you off with "Yours is down to arrive Friday, so don't worry"

@Anonymous I got the text and email at 12:15 today.

 

I ws told over the phone from ym store that I would get that text Friday morning at about 7 as this would be when they "check-in" the phone onto site but seems they have done it early and the system has sent the text.

 

It all depends on when your store "checks" them in. I know they didn't want to do it till the morning as it creates a seciurity risk now I know its there and thus someone else who has heard the news could break in and nick them.

 

So in your case if you ordered in store, it may well be there but just not checked in.

@Anonymous We may have spoken to the same lady as the information she gave me seemed the most sensible and confident to date.  I'm not expecting delivery on Friday and will do as she advises and call her Friday for an update.

 

I've checked myO2 and my order is still showing 'In Progress'.

I think the different delivery status are also due to where you pre ordered and which model/memory size/colour as different amounts available for each variation, some are going to be in higher demand than others!

Hey guys don't know if this has been mentioned anywhere on the thread. I upgraded my pay monthly contract through CPW, should have he 6 on Friday. But I have received two emails from O2 who seem to think I am a new customer the first was a welcome to O2 email yesterday and today they have sent me a first bill email and to follow a link to see the bill, but that link then just takes me to my original O2 account. Is this normal for someone who upgrades through CPW?
