Hi,
iOS7 from Apple will be available for download on Wednesday 18th of September 2013.
The update will be available for :
Now is the time to carry out some homework on this release, as its not just an update to iOS6 , its a full UI overhaul.
Ensure your idevice battery is 80% +
If your low on internal memory then think about deleting unused apps, music, videos, pictures, tones and e mails etc, to allow the update to proceed.
First update your iTunes to the newest availabe version.
You can achieve this by opening up iTunes and clicking on.... 'Check for Updates'
Carry out a sync of your idevice.
Then create a back up to iTunes and iCloud, or both.
Then when you hook up your idevice to iTunes and click on the device name, if the iOS7 update is available, you will see the appropriate message saying so.
Be patient as Apples servers will be maxed out, and as such the update may not be available to you at first. Keep checking.
Ensure you have left enough down time for the update to complete.
Sit back and wait
Any users who have jail-broken their idevices are advised to abstain from updating.

iPhone and iPad Mini dealt with. iPod Touch OS downloaded and installed but now it is playing up when connected to iTunes. I don't use the cloud, always do synching via cable connection to my PC and I manually manage all devices.
At first it would not synch or let anything be dragged on to the Touch. I re-booted both PC and Touch and it did synch but in doing so it reinstalled all the music, books, podcasts and video that are on the Touch but at the very end of stage 6 of the synch it hung. I aborted and am trying to synch again but it is stuck on waiting to synch. I've aborted yet again but the Touch itself still shows it is trying to synch.
Any ideas??
Edit - not sure but a further re-boot of both Touch and PC seems to have done the trick (fingers crossed).

@Anonymous wrote:I upgraded last night without any problems, but this morning have found I've lost access to mobile data/Internet. I conncects to WiFi no problem, but I've got nothing outside of that. Anyone have any suggestions on this before I take it to a store? Cheers
Did you get the carrier update at the end of the iOS 7 update?
I got it, but initially it failed (due to the high demand I expect). I then clicked on the UPDATE button while I still had my iPhone connected and I then got prompted with the carrier update and it installed fine.
Might be an idea to load up iTunes, connect your iPhone, click the SUMMARY tab, then click the UPDATE button, to see if it prompts you to install the carrier update, as that might be what is causing your problem.
