Unlocking iphone 5s

Anonymous
Not applicable
I wanna unlock my 5s cuz I am gonna work abroad soon.
I phoned them, twitted them and live chat with them. All of O2 staff said I can unlock it once I pay off my phone plan.
But on official website it says: except the 5c & 5S which can't be unlocked.
So my question is: who's information is correct? Can I unlock my 5s immediately if I pay my phone plan?

Cheers

What would be the point in that? An unlocked phone would be infinitely easier to sell when the time came to sell it.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

I don't know of any process to request relocking of a phone to a network. That's the whole point of a factory unlock as opposed to an unlock via a local trader or online.

If you are saying your phone has been unlocked by O2 in error then much better to sit back and be thankful. I would be extremely surprised if O2 were to take the step of relocking it again.

I bought the iphone 5s outright from o2 so it's locked to O2, I'm on a 12 month sim only contract that ends this summer and I'm thinking about going to Tesco sim only as it's £10 a month cheaper, from experiences what's the chances of me getting it unlocked?

Anytime now that stock has stabilised, I would guess.

I'm just guessing here, but Tesco mobile runs on the O2 network so you shouldn't need to unlock.

Try one out if you can and see if it works.

Let us know. Thanks.

You can use a Tesco sim in an o2 locked phone but you can't use an o2 sim in a Tesco phone
