Virginmedia need to unblock the IMEI as they will have blacklisted the phone

If it was the subject of an insurance claim then the phone belongs to the insurance company

Virgin are talking rubbish, o2 did not block the phone and as such can not remove the block.

The only people who can are Virgin..

We’re just customers like you but it sounds like you’ll need someone to access your account which can’t be done from here. If you message O2 using the links below, they should be able to help you with this

or give them a call on 202  or 0344 809 0202

Being two years later is will be very difficult to unblacklist this phone without lots of proof you originally purchased it and are the person you say you are.

Call O2 on the number above and see what they can do. However, as it was blacklisted a log time ago and was probably claimed on insurance they will assume someone random found it, ran the checks and is trying to fake being the owner to unblacklist it for selling. Be prepared to answer a lot of questions and send in a lot of proof, if even possible.
