Standard Apps disappeared

Anonymous
Not applicable

I've lost the Camera and Apps icons from my i-Phone 4.

A call to O2 told me to back up so at the risk of losing all manually added apps and purchased music (which I lost) I restored to factory settings ... still no camera or Apps icon.

Don't know what else to do ... help!

Are you sure the apps aren't on another screen or hidden in a folder?

go to settings - general - reset - reset home screen layout.

Please follow Jonsie's suggestions.

If by hooking up your iPhone to iTunes and performing a Restore the stock apps do not return, then you will need to visit an Apple Store Genius Bar.

You would need to make an appointment here : http://www.apple.com/uk/retail/geniusbar/

I hope all goes well.

Alternatively you could restore from backup using itunes....which is probably something the "genius" bar will do.
