I followed instructions for a sim switch online to switch from my Iphone 4 to my newly received iphone 5 ...that was 29 hours ago, nothing has happened and I cannot get thru to anyone online or on the hone from O2 support .... any ideas?

Turn your iphone off and on.
Usually takes 2 hours to 24 hours normally.
It once took 2 days for me.
I suggest you phone Customer Services on 202 {contract} or 4445 {payg} if your services are not fully activated soon.
