I feel silly asking this as it is such a little thing and I know it but it's on the tip of my tongue I can't figure it out (having a blonde moment).
Every christmas I do what everyone probably does and send a standard 'Merry Christmas' text to almost everyone in their contact list. However, I can't think how to do it. I don't want to send it as a group message as I don't want my work friends and old school friends to all be replying to each other asking who they are. I want it to send as an individual message, but not so that the recipient gets a list of everyone that I sent it to.
P.S. I have the iPhone 5s if that helps.

Hi,
I basically write a little verse and then copy and paste it.
This I then send to my friends, family and colleagues individually.
Group texts sending sometimes fails to some people too.

I would rather send it as a text than an email.
It's not an image or anything just a basic general 2 worded 'Merry Christmas' text.

If you don't want to send it as group message and not as an email, looks like you will have to send the texts seperately

Thank you for that link @adamtemp64 - I will make sure that I don't add any icons or emotions in my messages.
I still have the problem of actually setting up the text. Is it possible to send a text to multiple people without it creating a group?

also look at the smartphone / android issues not to more than 25 people as well.
The advice has been revised since last january but be careful or at 35p a person ity could be expensive

There are other alternatives to the Apple stock sms app.
BBM
Viber
But these depend on if they have those downloaded.

Thanks for that advice @bandofbrothers.
I use Whatsapp for friends who are abroad as it is obviously cheaper than sending a text.
Some of my contacts don't have alternatives to texts or emails.
Last time I sent a text to a group of people (on my blackberry), I got replies off people asking why I had give their number out as the text showed everybodies numbers (everyone that I sent the text to).
