Going on to internet sites suddenly became impossible on my iPhone. I'm up to date with my payments, have plenty of MB left of my tariff, so what is the problem? Messages I get are 'Safari cannot open the page because it could not connect to the server' and 'There is a problem with the network connection'. Happens both out of the house and next to my router at home. Is it the fault of O2, Safari or within my phone? It can't be the internet sites as I can't get on to any? TIA

Thanks for that, but everything seems to be OK in the area.
If that's the case then I can only suggest you remove the sim, clean it gently.. reinsert and then reboot your phone. I presume your data settings are correct as this has only just started happening? Worth a check.

Hi @Anonymous Have you checked the network status? A mast could be down or being repaired
Also have a check of this help thread https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Pay-Monthly-and-Pay-Go/Self-help-guide-Is-the-network-down-for-me-or-everyone/m-p/593752#M59833

Not entirely sure of what I did apart from leaving the phone switched off for a longer period but I've got my internet contacts back! Thank you
