I have a sim only deal with O2 and have bought a new iPhone 6 plus handset. Is it the case I can simply transfer the sim to the new handset

How can I then transfer all my info on my old phone 4 to my new iPhone 6?

Make a full backup to iTunes then restore this to the new phone.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

When your setting up the 6 it will ask you wether you want to set up as a new device or use a back up. Use the backup you've just created.

So can you tell me exactly when I do all this?
I have my new phone and have switched it on and put the new SIM card in it.
I have the old SIM card in my old phone.
Please tell me the procedure. I am confused!

1 - Make full back up of old phone.

2 - Place new sim in new phone and do sim swap procedure.

3 - Set up new phone and restore the old phone backup during the activation process.
