New Apple Watch (series 8) can’t connect to o2 network

Hi,

I purchased a new Series 8 Apple Watch from o2 with an unlimited data plan.

I set up the watch, following the on screen prompts, but when trying to connect it to the o2 network, I get a “oops, somethings gone wrong” message telling me to call 202 with ref code 15 or 91.

Called, held for an age, finally spoke to a guy who put me on hold again, then he came back and said I’d get a call back in 72 hours - What the hell?

Can anyone here help me resolve this, please?

You don't need an unlimited plan on the watch - pair it with your phone, then take the £5 add-on watch contract to get your watch to work when out of range of your phone: Apple watch help here https://www.o2.co.uk/help/device-and-sim-support/apple-watch
