Hi

My iPhone 12 will not connect to my laptop via Mobile Hotspot. My laptop can see the hotspot but when I enter the correct password, and after the 'checking requirements' I get an error message saying.....'cannot connect to this network'.

Other networks; EE, Vodafone etc connect without issue, its only my O2 mobile that will not connect.

Any help would be appreciated.

TIA

@Shelleybell

I can only think that you may not have the iData bolt on applied to your account, but I thought the hotspot option wouldn't work at all without it.

Worth checking with customer services though.

You'll need to call.
Numbers here Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support
When it comes to the reason you are calling stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.
Press 2 for Everything Else
Press 5 for More Options
Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to someone.
Say "Upgrade", "Lost/Stolen" or "Fraud" if you have to, to get put through to someone.
8.00am is the best time to call if you can.

Thanks for that advice.

Just off the phone to O2. They confirmed I had idata enabled. The suggested a Network Reset which I have done (I think) but it still does not work. Customer Services said if that does not work then they weren't sure what could be the issue, which wasn't very helpful. I really need to get this sorted as I'm having to drive to get a network connection to send documents etc.

It must be something on your account @Shelleybell

I'll ask @O2Lisa to check with you in the morning.
