Mobile data drain

Hello.  I'm new to Apple.  My new phone seems to have drained my mobile data this month.  Any idea why?  I haven't used the mobile data hardly at all as I tend to only use the phone with wifi yet it ran out.

If you have wifi assist turned on it will use your data as well as wifi.

Go to settings >mobile data and turn it off.
