Hi,

As the title says, I have received my iPhone X today.

It was advertised as “like new”, so I did expect a few tiny marks etc, but I wasn’t expecting the battery health to be 84%.

This battery is going to need replacing very soon and will cost a lot.

What can O2 do for me on this?

I agree with @MI5 on this one, I would arrange a return, and replacement if you want. The issue will be given the iPhone X is 3 years old now (nearly 4) none will have 100% unless they have had their battery replaced, given the discounts on "like new" its unlikely to include battery, like new more references the condition of the device in terms of cosmetic.

Depending on what is on offer from O2 in terms of replacement, and depending on how much the phone in (how good a deal you have) Apple do battery replacements for £69

Agreed with the above. I got an X when they came out and sold it to get an 12 Pro in Septembers. It was released in 2017 so now almost four years old. I’d say 84% is good for its ages but not ideal and I’d be looking to replace the battery as I have battery anxiety.

If it was me I’d contact 02 and complaine but say you want the cost of battery replacement back! Then get it done via Apple when it hits 80%.

The X is a fantastic phone and the only reason I upgraded was due to me me wanting blue one and wanted a treat. An X with 100% battery would be great slight_smile

O2 are great when you complain so that’s my suggestion slight_smile
