LOST PHONE CAN I UPGRADE?!????

Basically I just lost my iPhone 5 2 days ago and I have no insurance and I have told O2 to block the phone and sim which they have done. I am due to have an upgrade in August 21st ( 1 month early ) and wondering can I still get an upgrade to the next iPhone generation even if I don't have the handset anymore and it's blocked

Man that sucks losing your new iPhone 5 especially when only having it for such a short space of time.

I appreciate you saying you don't have insurance but if you mean 02 insurance then have you checked any household insurance you may have or if your bank account gives that kind of cover ?

I truly hope you recover it if its lost and not stolen.

I'm wondering did you try the findmyiphone feature before blocking it ?

I do not have O2 insurance , household insurance and my bank does not cover it also but I am due for an upgrade in August can I still upgrade with no handset and while the phone is blocked. And yes I tried find my iPhone but the person turned the phone off so couldn't track it

If the phone and sim have been blocked O2 should send you a new sim.

haha AlexFK, yes, you should be able to get an upgrade so long as you pay off the remainder of your contract to August. Just give customer services a call

As long as you're paying your contract or pay it off, you can still upgrade, but what makes you think there's going to be a new iPhone by the 21st of August? It hasn't even been announced. It's highly unlikely that it will be released by then.
