Just upgraded my Iphone - what happens to my old phone?

Hi,

I previously had a sim only contract on my iPhone 3 and heve just upgraded to a contract iPhone 4S. What happens to my old phone/sim? Do I need to keep the old sim to put in my new phone or will a new sim be sent and my old one be deactivated?

You should get a new sim sent to you as it's a different size. Use http://swapmysim.o2.co.uk/ to transfer your number.

Your old phone is yours and you are free to do with it as you wish.

Ask for your iphone 3g to be unlocked as its free and would command a better selling price or accomadate a family or friends alternative network sim.
