Internet Connection

Anonymous
Not applicable

I live in Lymington, Hampshire and have a iphone 4 which I cannot use because the reception is so bad.

Strangley I can get internet from my neighbours broadband of AOL- But my phone will not pick up the reception.

I have pleaded with O2 to look at better connection for 02 in the Lymington/Pennington area.

Seems unfair that I checked the coverage of which they say is good and I have reception on my phone (which comes in and out) but I cannot pick up 3G or internet- I belive this is false advertising and want to complain that they need to clarify coverage if they want to continue selling these phones which simply dont work and cannot be used in this area.

Hi.

Some known remedies are to remove your Sim Card and give it a clean then re insert.

Also try turning off 3G and to go on 2g to see if it improves.
Although your Internet will be slowed down.

Try your sim in another phone to test out both the sim and current phone your using.

Even tho your service status is showing fine you can still report the mast by ringing 202 for contract customers or 4445 for payg.

Are others near you in 02 having the same issue, if so tell 02 in the phone call.

If your services still do not return then another option is to pick up a correct sized blank SIM card from an 02 High-Street Store, and perform the sim swap procedure in-store, or carry out the process yourself at home.

02 cover themselves in t&c's regarding coverage.
