Yes, I'm aware of that. My point was that neither 800 nor 2600 was supported despite the claims that "more carriers are supported for LTE" in the release notes.

each lte carrier has to be approved in the bands listed before apple allow the iphone on to the other networks so with 6.1 they added more it is not just a carrier turns on the 4g network in say 1800 band and the iphone connects it has to be tested by apple before the iphone is allowed to use the network

http://www.apple.com/iphone/LTE/ now lists swiscomm

 

so when 3 enable the bit of 1800 they bought apple will have to approve it
