A big update will begin testing early January which apple hope will fix the 30% bug that appears to be getting worse.

Go do @MI5 Just reading regarding the IOS update. You answered my question that it makes it worse.
im not affected my self, but i know some one that is. I was hoping that this would resolve the issue tbh. I'm wondering if they will release another beta 10.2.1 or now go straight to IOS 10.3?
starnge one tho

Yes and that is what puzzling me, I'm wondering if it is either a brand or batch of batteries with this issue. To me it's not just one phone that I'm reading it on though

Yes and my friend is one of those who doesn't have one of those batteries. In fact she had a replacement from Apple after 18months on her iPhone 6 because the battery was shutting of at 30%, her replacement was fine for first couple of weeks and then out of the blue it started again.
It has to be more than just the battery to me, as she can put it on charge and phone turns on, she removes charger and no further issues until the battery is totally dead.
have you noticed tho if you let you phone get to 1%. It seems to last forever, I downloaded a battery app and it said I had 3% left when apple shows 1%. So I'm wondering if the Calibration is getting confused some want in IOS?

I have never had the issue on the 7 and beta 10.3 looks the same let it run down yesterday .
10.3 beta has other benefits like improved file system freeing up 2.5 gb of space on my 128gb 7
