IMEI checkup showing incorrect information

Hi,

 

I was wondering if you guys could help me. I've recently sold my iPhone 5 on eBay (which I bought for £700 SIM-free off the Apple website upon release), but the an IMEI information lookup on the handset lists it as under contract till September 2014.

 

Is there anyway of updating/removing this information? Who would I need to contact to get this looked at?

I think you would have to contact  themselves. Do you have the original receipt?

Hi,

 

Are you using one of those online companies or Apples Website to check on your imei/serial number.

 

You could contact Apple to have this checked out but to be honest all a person really looks at when accessing that info is that its an unlocked handset and not blacklisted.
