I've disabled my iPhone

I've disabled my iPhone 5 and it now says to connect to iTunes, I have tried everything it says on the apple website. What do I do?

@Anonymous  What happens when you connect to iTunes, or are you unable to do that? If the phone is completely disabled, you may not be able to do anything about it today, but if your nearest Apple store is open tomorrow, your best bet would be to take it there.

I will tag @adamtemp64 and @MI5 who are iPhone users, who may be able to offer better advice.

How is it disabled? what steps on the apple site have you already done?
