Double data and free insurance

Anonymous
Not applicable
Bit annoyed... Just been called by the O2 Clifton store to be told my iPhone 6 is in and ready for collection tomorrow ... However the deal I'd taken, free double data (5gb up to 10gb) and 12 months free accidental insurance has now been cancelled by head office ... Shocking service and customer relations by O2 ... Already more expensive on contracts and phones over other networks ... Sell you one thing to get your order then withdraw it ...

Was there an explanation?
Have you questioned it with CS http://www.o2.co.uk/contactus ?

That is bad,
Only suggestion is to call cs on 202 and choose orders.
You might have to wait though as it's a very busy period.

This sounds very strange. Do you have the deal you agreed to in writing? I don't see how O2 could just arbitrarily move the goalposts like that?

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

Do you have a record of the deal from an email or similar that you can produce. That is certainly bad practise.

Have you rung CS to confirm that what the store says is correct?

If you broach the subject in collecting the handset they may reconsider or ring customer service for you.

I've been in contact with O2 CS online chat and they have honoured the offer and updated the order ready for my collection tomorrow ... There maybe a fair few people in for a shock when they pick their phones up tomorrow ... Cheers all
