It can't be done

You need a new tariff with a new phone

Only way is to source the phone from somewhere else

You could look at what O2 have available as payg phones or buy from Amazon etc.

I wonder what sort of a deal you will get from Apple itself or from Western Computers - approved Apple reseller - over the weekend of Black Friday ?

A friend got an iPhone 14 over last year's BF weekend and got a gift voucher for £150 or thereabouts, which he promptly spent on accessories.

You can buy on credit from Apple so the same way as paying for a device plan from O2.
