Delivery expectations for iPhone 7?

So when I placed my preorder (and paid off my refresh) this morning I saw that the estimate for the phone delivery would be up to 2 weeks for the Rose Gold plus 256GB (the one I ordered) but now when I go to the store to check whether I picked the right colour (the black really does look nice but I've decided I was right to go for Rose Gold) it says orders will be delivered on the 16th ... so those who preordered this morning have to wait 2 weeks but those who preorder right now don't? I'm confused :Z

I ordered my iPhone 7 128GB Black on Friday and got my confirmation at 8:15. I just spoke to support and this is what they said:

O2: The order status is 'Order Waiting For Dispatch'.

DANIEL MORAN: is that good news or bad news?

O2: If it has not been dispatched yet, it would mean that it may not arrive tomorrow.

DANIEL MORAN: Ah ok, when will I have an idea about it will arrive?

DANIEL MORAN: about when it will arrive*

O2: We'll be dispatching phones as soon as possible.

O2: If there's exceptionally high demand it's possible that you may receive your new iPhone after launch day.

O2: Please wait for the email regarding the delivery.

DANIEL MORAN: Ok, thanks anyway

O2: Daniel, just give me a couple of minutes more.

DANIEL MORAN: Ok

O2: Thanks.

O2: Thanks for waiting Daniel.

O2: We may be waiting for stock and the order has gone into a pending state.

Guys, when I preordered my 6+ my tracking never came until around 9pm the night before launch- it still arrived launch day. This is very early to receive tracking I was shocked when I got the text! If you ordered it within those first few hours I would keep positive 🙂 I never even had a confirmation email but it went immediately to my orders. Fingers crossed for all!

Not that it will probably make any difference but if my iphone 7 plus 128gb black doesn't arrive tomorrow I'll be kicking up a fuss with O2.

Whether the live chat is to be believed or not they specifically said to me that mine was dispatched and I'll get it on the 16th.  They can't be giving out that info if it's not entirely true.

I ordered mine 09:30 on 09/09/2016 and didn't get the confirmation e-mail until 11:14.

No suprise my order say's "Still in Progress" but at the time of ordering the web site said estimated delivery time was 2 weeks

The Black phones said 6 weeks.

I guess the chances of getting it tomorrow are kind of slim.

Live chat told me, they don't have the stock yet and as it is available tomorrow it will be dispatched tomorrow, once it is available
