Deleting voicemail warning

I have an Iphone 5 and have received several voicemails which are spam.   I do not want to have to pay to delte them by calling up voicemail (on PAYG) and I just want to delete the little red dot  on my phone icon.   Can this be done?   Any ideas welcome

Usually just deactivating vm deletes any messages (Dial 1760 to turn it off and 1750 to turn it back on again).

Hi,

How are you aware that they are spam ?

You can access voicemails from your home phone/landline if you dont want to use your credit.

Thank you for all your help.   I have deleted the dreaded red spot and have switched off voicemail for good since retrieving voicemails is not included in my PAYG tarriff (ON and On)

Voicemails were from a company trying to sell me a new boiler!

Glad your sorted.

IMO Payg accounts should be on a par with Contract accounts where inclusive minutes can be used to access and listen to o2 Voicemails.
