Cracked iPhone 6 screen

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi,

I stupidly dropped my iPhone 6 by accident and in the process, the screen is now cracked. I do have insurance but is it worth making an appointment with Apple (the phone is two months old so I have the years warrenty) or going through insurance to get it repaired?

No, you're not forced to go through insurance.
It's entirely your choice, but as you say, it will cost you either way 😞

You will have to go through insurance as it's not a "fault" that is covered by warranty.

Probably a good job you do have insurance @Anonymous. The screen wont be cheap to replace. You can get it done anywhere ....but Apple were charging between £90 -£120 last week for screens

Thanks for the replies. Apple have available appointments over the weekend so I was keen to get this resolved ASAP to be honest. Unfortunately, it's awkward to do during the weekday. I know I'll have to pay either way which is fine, I just wasn't sure whether it was imperative to go through insurance or visit Apple myself. slight_smile
