Hi @Anonymous The £1.99 could have been triggered by one text or call...

I have the same problem as this - "The £1.99 could have been triggered by one text or call......"

How is this the case?

Your link tells me nothing!

If you are correct I will be cancelling ALL my O2 accounts!

Please advise!

Hi @Anonymous

O2 Travel is our roaming service for customers travelling abroad - the perfect way to stay connected when you're on holiday. It lets you talk, send texts and use the internet while you're away, without worrying about overspending. If you're a Pay Monthly customer, you'll pay a single fixed daily rate to get the minutes, texts and data you need in selected destinations.

So what I am saying is this.......If you activate O2 travel on a daily basis but during the course of that day you only send one text ...it will trigger the £1.99 per day charge. If you don't want to use O2 travel then you can opt out and just pay standard roaming charges...

If you are opted in to O2 Travel and have it as a free bolt on you are charged £1.99 a day. Just sending one text will trigger the charge so if you intend to use just wifi or make the odd call, send a couple of texts each day then you should opt out via My O2.

@Anonymous The change in O2 Travel was announced a while ago. If you cancel all your accounts you will still be responsible for paying what's left on them.

I know my duties and responsibilities and do not need you to remind me!

It's O2 that needs to learn how to behave! Bloody impertinent and discourteous.

Hi guys,

I have closed this thread, as the conversation was getting a little heated and off-topic of the issue at hand. A lot of useful advice has been given here by members (who are other customers remember) and this issue needs to be rectified by giving us a call on 202.

Any questions, send me a PM any time slight_smile
