Cannot recieve text messages

Hi,

sometime this morning my phone stopped recieving text messages.  I can still send them but if someone sends me one I dont get it.

I downloaded the latest update and installed it, but still no luck.  I now also have a red dot on the phone icon and apparently "visual voicemail" in unavailable.

I can phone people without problem, and send emails

Is anyone else having this issue?

We'll if it's a network outage that's fine. I've been with O2 for years and never had anything like this happen before. Coupled with the "known issues" apple are having with iMessages since IOS 7 it's not easy communicating. Hope it's Ok when I get up tomorrow. Thanks again for the feedback

I understand occasional outages but the lack of an even half decent service in my area and the apalling lack of ability to speak to an operator to sort things out when the signal is rubbish in your area is inexcusable. I sent 6 texts today asking for an updated password - none of the codes came through. Tried online chat and found there is also a complete lack of understanding that an account in a husbands name should be able to be able to be accessed by his wife (especially as it was a present) even when a password has been provided.

I have also been with O2 for years and never had as many problems as I have in the last few weeks seems to be a new week a new problem just hope they sort it soon

well my code has now come through but I can't get back to the page where I was meant to enter it - the whole phone view has changed since the upgrade - bring back the one I knew! - PLEASE

As I hoped its been fixed now. Around 10.30 last night I recieved about 20 texts all at the same time. Thanks for getting it fixed O2

my mum has my partners 3gs as i got an upgrade to a 5 so he now has my 4. All of a sudden she cant text me, my brother or my aunty. she can text everyone else in her contact list. 

I cant text her, or my brother or my aunty. We are at a loss as to why this has suddenly happened . None of us have blocked her and she cant block us on her 3gs as it hasnt got that option

what can she do to solve this problem thanks

Are you sure she is not on your blocked list?
As she is receiving yours it would imply an issue with your phone....?
Are these normal sms texts or iMessages?

she cant receive mine ( it comes up with undelivered in red when i try to send), my brothers or my auntys and we cant send to her either. Everyone else on her sim card can apart from us 3 

it has just suddenly started doing it
