Can I change from 3G to 4G when available?

Hi All

If I pre-order a 5c or 5s and take a 3G deal (no 4G here yet) can I change in 3, 6, 9, 22 months when 4G is rolled out or would I have to do the Refresh thing and take out a new contract? Seems pointless taking 4G now and getting a £5 reduction!!

Thanks

People have done it already for £5 a month extra but you do not get an  increased data allowance.

Look at options we will go on 4g data as soon as we get our 5s as we travel to areas 4g is and to take advantage of the extra data allowance

The £5 reduction is to allow for the handsest not being allowd to use 4g until apple approve the o2 4g network

I live in Belfast though and travel to london once or twice a month so does this mean that my phone will detect the 4g network and I won't get my discount - hence why I thought of 3G first before going to 4G!!

The £5 discount is only because apple have to enable the iphone to work on o2 4g.

It is not for it not being in your area

I don't think it works that way.

02 know your home city is without 4G
