I added a new iPhone 12 Pro Max to my account and it arrived with SIM card however it won’t read the sim. We have tried other 02 sims and it won’t read them either. We tried the new sim in another iPhone and it works. I guess the issue is a faulty SIM card reader inside the phone?

Your phone just needs the shipping bar removing.
Call O2 to do it and if you pass the account security checks they will release the bar.

@Nettytabs Not sure what the fault is, though your guess sounds correct.
You need to change it under the 14 day Change Of Mind policy.

Yes that’s what I am going to do now although I’m not getting anywhere with online chat as the pop up won’t work just keeps sending me round in circles!

Thank you. I rang 02 to arrange the return and that’s when they told me about the shipping bar. I wasn’t aware I had to do this when I received the phone. All

@Nettytabs Pleased it's sorted. I'd forgotten that O2 are now placing a shipping bar on their iPhones to be honest. It's a recent thing. Anyway, enjoy your phone now it's working

Over 24 hours later and I still can’t use the phone. How long does it take to remove the shipping bar!!??
