I’ve been offered 6 months Apple Music for free, I already subscribe to Apple Music, if I sign up to the o2 offer will my existing subscription be free for 6 months?

According to the T&C's it will be added to any existing subscription.

I’ve signed up and my next payment to Apple is October, as I understand it the 6 months is 3 months Apple free trail and 3 months from o2, as I’ve been subscribed to Apple for some time ( Apple Free trail long since finished) I get 3 months free from o2 rather than the 6 months offered. I think I’ve understood that correctly and I’m fine with it, as I say if I’ve understood this correctly maybe o2 could make it clearer to existing Apple subscribers. Thanks
