Apple Watch 6 - no longer connecting to cellular

I have an Apple Watch Series 6, with cellular. I have an airtime plan, but noticed my watch is no longer connecting to it. 

I have removed the data plan, and readded it. All software updates are installed but I can’t make any calls on my watch if I don’t have my phone with me.

Have you changed anything since it last worked?

Any error messages when trying to setup data plan?

@MI5 no, no errors on the Apple Watch app, and when I removed the data plan and re-added it yesterday, I received a success text message from o2. But still, when I turn my phone off, I have no connection on my watch.
