Yeah happens every year for US's Black Friday (always the day after their "every 4th Thu in November" Thankgiving) — basically their 'holiday season' spending kickstarter.
Though please folks, don't expect massive discounts on Apple products. Normally they offer LESS off than the various discounts to students. Ho hum.

...presume you mean the older Cinema Display.
Go to Amazon UK, it's already WAY cheaper than Apple would discount it to:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Apple-LED-Cinema-Display-27/dp/B0044EA242 => £820 (£899 MRRP).

The newer Thunderbolt Display is even cheaper, lol:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Apple-27-inch-Thunderbolt-Display/dp/B005DXS7DQ => £800 vs. £899!
Apple's discounts are likely LESS than 5% on anything.
