Does O2 provide the same 1 year warranty that Apple provides?

Hi @Jackhartley01

The warranty is from Apple and is nothing to do with O2. They don't provide an additional warranty.

If you buy from John Lewis you'll get a 2 year warranty https://www.johnlewis.com/2019-apple-airpods-with-charging-case/p4073207?sku=238086343&&s_kwcid=2dxL...

Also accidental damage insurance available for 2 years for only £20.00 wink

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

So if there was a problem. For example:

The sound stopped working on the left earphone even though I had not dropped them or anything. It was a manufacturing defect.

I would not get a free replacement?

If it was a manufacturing fault, you would return them to Apple or contact them https://support.apple.com/en-gb

O2 or Apple will abide by the terms of the warranty.

Thanks for the info @MI5, two years is brilliant and well worth considering getting from John Lewis.

I always look at John Lewis for comparison prices @jonsie  as their guarantee periods are always longer and usually you can add insurance cheaply too.

If only other retailers offered the same deals wink
