I changed my phone number with O2 3 days ago.  There has been no 3g signal or voicmail from the previous line was disconnected.  I have reset, re booted, spoke to a guru, spoke to customer services 5 times followed all the instructions and nothing??  Does anyone know why this would be happening?

thanks

Hello.

What does the service status say for your area.

http://status.o2.co.uk

Try ;

Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

It may be that your new sim is faulty some way and might be worth picking a replacement up from an O2 shop.

They will do the sim swap there for you.

Are you running iOS7?

Have you tried connecting it to iTunes, have you noticed iTunes wanting to update your carrier settings? If so this may be worth a try.

On your phone head for settings, general, reset and "reset network settings".

Yes I can call and text.  Spoke to a guru on friday wo told e the acess point on o2s side was not set up correctly. He claimed that he had re set them and that the internet and voicemail would work straight away.  Its still not working!!!  27 calls now been made!!!

That's a ludicrous amount of calls to have to make.

Possibly escalate the issue.

It may be worth calling into your nearest O2 store in the meantime as a complaint can take days to be responded to. They should be able to check everything is set up correctly.
