xperia z white screen

I have had my Z for 13 months but the past couple of weeks it has flicked to a white screen then it has now started to stay on white screen and I have to turn phone off does anyone have a surgestion as to what is wrong please thanks in advance

Just to update sony done a data update on the phone. It seems to be working fine now, I couldn't do it as I don't have a computer just ipad. Just had the kitkat update and it seems fine. Thanks for all you help
