Hi just received my new sony xperia x compact and transfered all files from my old phone i then went to personalise my contacts ringtones and message notification sounds but the only options i am given is the horrible built in sony ringtones, so my question is can i personalise my individual contacts with this phone, cheers Pete.

Just as with any android phone you can download any ringtone or notification sound to the phone to use.
If you want to assign individual sounds to particular contacts you need to go into their contact card and edit the sound there and save it.

When in the generic sound picker,
Press the big + in the top right corner, then select a method of adding a new tone.
