I am not an expert at this so will call someone for support....but when I swapped sims on my S3 to my Note 4 I was still able to access stuff on my old phone. Maybe @MI5 or @viridis can confirm before you do the swap though??

Out of interest...why arent you syncing everything over to your new phone?

All you have on old phone will still be accessible after the sim swap.
If you are swapping android to android you can sync everything with Google and it will automatically appear on the new phone.
Some phones also have dedicated PC software to backup and restore from.
Let us know which phones and we can advise you better.

I know...9 months ago I wouldn't have even been able to use the expression 'syncing things over to your new phone'......LOL
