hi
I have a problem with a GPS in my galaxy s4. Can not find the location. Today in the living O2 guy told me that the GPS will not work without enabled mobile date which is total bull**bleep**! Even once he was in Servisi and nothing was done. What should I do?

Yes he will need data to see the map - but not to get a GPS fix.

And that's exactly what I mean mate! But the guy in the o2 insisted that GPS will not work without the date mobile. Today I was in another store o2 and without any problems send my phone to a service center for repair. I hope this time the fix!

Not true. If you use maps that are downloaded to the phone's memory you don't need any data connection. I use NavFree on my tablet and get maps and voice direction with no data connected.

Unless I missed it Roki01 still hasn't actually said what they are trying to get the GPS to do, which might lead everyone to a solution. As other people have mentioned, using things like google maps will need some kind of data/wifi/tethering to happen to access that map, accessing a pre-installed map on a Navigation app wouldn't. Wanting to 'check-in' on facebook will again need some kind of point of reference to plot the GPS co-ordinates too.
Kind of hard to help without being told a full explanation of the problem.

Totally agree with you.

Lol, my point was data is not needed for GPS, of course you do not need data for offline maps.
They also don't need data for Google Maps if they download the maps

Today I received a 'fixed' phone service. GPS still does not work. There is no fix. Here's what they wrote in a note. "After the spoke to you, our engineer Mikolay tested your phone again but still could not find anything wrong. We know that upgrading your phone's software can fix a lot of issues and so we have done this for you. It's a good ideato keep your phone's software up to date. " I think they do not understand my problem! What should I do??

Try downloading a GPS app and running it to check if it works with no problem:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.chartcross.gpstest
Outside the house you should get a GPS location fix with this.
This app does not need data or wi-fi to work.

Exactly the app I use for a month to test the GPS. Maximum signal strength (SNR) is 14 had ever reached my phone on a sunny day outside. application under "in view" is 16-22 but the "in use" is 0 sometimes 2

Right, I've just downloaded that app to test it.
The app is turning my GPS on and I'm getting 22 in view and 12 in use.
Clicking on the world map gives me a correct location.
I even get 4 or 5 in use indoors.
I would say the GPS on your phone is not working.
