htc one m9 disgrace

Anonymous
Not applicable

After owning my htc one m9 for 15 days I got the dreaded frozen white screen, after taking the phone to the shop thinking this should be fine as o2 are antigenic company that looks after its customers, how wrong was I,I had to place 25 pound deposit for a loan phone to then receive a text that the problem isn't covered under warranty and I now have to phone the shop for a quote.any idea how much I'm gonna get quoted?

Hi @Anonymous I would ask for the phone back and contact HTC direct. For O2 to say this 15 day old phone isn't covered my warranty is a nonsense....

http://www.htc.com/uk/contact/phone/

A quick google search came up with this fix.....

Press and hold the POWER and VOLUME UP buttons for at least 10 seconds. HTC One M9 then restarts.

I think you will do better with them if honest. I am a bit appalled that O2 are saying it's not covered via warranty. It's 15 days old  for gods sake...Best of luck with HTC wink

Definitely get the phone back off them. I would want an explanation as to why a 15 day old phone is chargeable. Personally I would have been insisting on a replacement rather than a repair despite the 14 day rule.

Make sure you get the phone back undamaged and contact HTC.

Agree with all the above.
Get it back and get it to htc.
I too would have pushed for a replacement. Regardless of 14 day policy.

Did they say it was water damaged?

I have phoned up this morning and the repair shop claim that the power button is broken and the phone has been opened up and the motherboard tampered with.I have since been into the shop and the assistant has emailed the supplier to check the history of the phone. 125 pound to repair they want.absolute disgrace
