I've upgraded to a new phone ( Samsung Fame)and o2 have just text me to say I've used up all my data!!

Since discovering that you have to turn off the mbile data button I've only turned it on to use whatsapp.

Will I not be able to use whatsapp now til my new allowance?? I never had this with my old phone! What's been using up all the data??

So are all phones like this I am still in time to swap my phone I think (still within 7 days of purchase) -sorry I am low-tech when it comes to upgrading, my last phone was a Nokia Asha but I'm not happy with this Fame eating all the data! Would it be worth swapping and if so to what?

Smartphones are all geared up to be connected to data services to allow updates like MI5 says.

You can opt for a non smartphone that does not use apps.

I would suggest you visit the high street shops to have a look and use of the working demo models.
Plenty are available.

02 have a 7 working day Cooling off policy.
Check your t&c.

When I used the HTC one mini all I did was hold it and dragged it to the delete bin.

or

  • Tap the Menu key and then tap Settings.
  • Scroll down and tap on Application manager.
  • Tap on All.
  • Tap on the app which you wish to remove.
  • Tap on Uninstall.
  • Tap OK.
  • Once the app has been removed tap OK.

And don't worry if your not getting on with a phone then it's best you act before it's too late.

I did do that but they never mentioned all this in the o2 store!! Also should 'auto-sync data' be on or off?
