Hi and welcome.

7 working days is the cooling off period with 02.

After that you would have to seek a repair either through the phone manufacturer (recommended ) or via 02 repairs.

No that is wrong, you have 14 days to return it:

The phone I bought is faulty

If you've had your phone for less than 14 days, we'll either replace it with a new phone, or you can get your money back. If you've had your phone for more than 14 days, we'll send it in for repair. You might have to pay in some cases (for example, wear and tear or if the product was damaged after you bought it), but we'll let you know this before we fix it.

What do you think a reasonable time would be?

Sadly, people have no idea about the statutory rights, so you may come up against a brick wall. Stay calm, if possible find them the law (use the consumer pages to help) – and politely ask to speak to a supervisor.

If you think you should have a new phone after 3 weeks, tell them so.
