cant access marketplace

i unlocked my htc hd2 yesterday it was origanally on t-mobile i get signal and everything but when i go on to marketplace it says, 

cannot connect
dialed;
cannot connect for unknown reason.to check you connection settings and change them if needed, tap settings. if the problem continues , reset you mobile device according to your manufactures documentation and try again.

ive sent active to 2020 as i got told to do and its still not working after i turn it off im seriously considering changing networks as its really winding me up!
please help!?

The correct internet settings are here http://mobileguide.o2.co.uk/devices/device.jsp?deviceId=614&tab=8 choose pay monthly or PAYG and follow the instructions.
If you are still having problems come back with more details regarding what you can and can't access data wise, your tariff, location etc....

im going round in circles ive been on to all of this and nothing has worked im connected to my wifi but i still cant go on to the market place?

Wifi has nothing to do with O2. It's between your phone and your wifi router. If you had mentioned this before I could have saved some time for both of us. Can you get onto the internet, ie open web browser and navigate to www.bbc.co.uk ?

Ok, so if your wifi is working OK and you have data connection the issue must be with the app store. When you say "marketplace" do you mean "Google Play Store" or something else?

its called market place on my phone, aslo its saying my operator is tmobile when its 02 :S
