Xperia Z1 headphones

Thought I would start a new thread to ensure the info is kept on topic.

As you know the headphones were missing from our z1 boxes.

Some people have gotten credit, others told the headphones have been ordered.

I was told (phone and web chat) that the headphones could only be ordered as they do not give credit (inconsistent!) so this was fine as I wanted the headphones....

A day later I got an email saying they are out of stock so please go into a store and pick them up free of charge...

This sounded strange as I was sure stores wouldn't do this, called a store this morning and sure enough they don't do this. All they could do was order them for me and they come from the same warehouse as customer service order from!!!

The misinformation coming out of O2 is rather worrying so far....is it always like this?

RESULT!

Just got off the phone from O2 (Again)

They told me due to customer feedback about the lack of headphones with the Xperia Z1

Sony has agreed to supply a headset with the Z1

So we should be getting a set as soon as Sony ships them to O2

At least that's what I was told

Will wait and see 

The nice lady on the phone said it should be soon

Hi peeps,

Right final update, just received my (FOC) earphones (i.e. headset) today. It's a Sony SBH20. Problem is; it's a black one even though I did asked for a white one. I'm going to try and change it.

Glad you got sorted.

This is a sensible resolution as it's a Sony headset.  Frustrating for others however as we were all being told there were none in stock anywhere (online/phone) lol

me too. was told free headset will be with me by wednesday but nothing. spoke to cs online chat yesterday evenig and was still assured i will still get a pair. they are out of stock apparently

I was talking in the chat today so long with them! )))) They say they can't do anything, they know about this issue and the are waiting the answer from Sony! ))) and when I said about this forum and that people are getting the headphones, they said again to wait for the sms from them! ))))))))) It's so f-g stupid, that I had to sign the contract for 2 years, and O2 doesn't care about what people think about their service. In China people are getting even charging dock in the box!!! But here we can't get fricking headphones. So unbelievable! ))

Spoke to O2 today (Again) today.

They told me that Sony has agreed to supply headphones with the Z1 because of the complaints of those who purchased the phone.

And as soon as Sony ships them to O2, they will send a text and email and ship them out to us.

No news on what model the headphones will be yet.

But if you speak to O2 by online chat they tell you that Headphones don't come with the Z1 and you have to buy them.

O2 Support Should inform the Online chat department (Which I believe are based in India) and tell them that they will be sending out the headphones to those

Will wait till Monday and give them a call (Again)

I'm guessing that you will have to chase this up rather than waiting for O2 to contact you.
