When I set an alarm and choose a sound I can hear it. The alarm then counts down but when the set time is reached there is no sund. I can play music, YouTubes etc with no sound issue. What might be going wrong?

On my last xperia the alarm had a separate volume control.

Thanks but my alarm volume is set OK. I have now noticed that Clock notifications are off and that "at my request" Android is blocking this app's notifications, the show notifications toggle is greyed out. Any suggestions as to how I fix this?
