Hi I recently bought a Sony Xperia XA2 from CeX but it's locked to O2 and every solution on O2 website requires you to have an active PAYG/Pay monthly account which I do not currently have, is there any other option I can go for that's free as don't have the money to take it to a phone shop

Guide: Unlocking an O2 phone to use a different SIM card 

Get a free O2 PAYG sim and top up £10. Make some calls and register for a MyO2 account, then request the unlock through the MyO2 app.

If you have a friend that is on o2 then you could ask them to use it for a few days and ask them to request the unlock @Alyxiate ?
