I have just received my new Samsung S10+ and upon setting up it directed me to put my new phone next to my old S7 but the data did not transfer over and now I have a nice new phone without my emails, photo gallery, apps, or anything as it did not work. It said to activate smart switch onto my S7 so I had to download that but the S10 had already moved on and I can't get it back to where it transfers my data. Please help - I had avoided doing all this for 4 days in case something went wrong .. and it has 😞

@JoPeters see help guide here https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/How-to-Guides/Backing-up-your-phone/bc-p/1114212.
You can download SmartSwitch to both devices to initiate a file transfer or just backup to your PC then transfer directly to your new device.

Back up everything to Google on your old phone. I would then reset the new S10 to factory default and when setting up again, it will allow you to use the last backup in Google
or go down the Smartswitch app to both phones route.
