Sony Z3 messaging issues

My Z3 will randomly resend texts hours or even days later, and sometimes my texts take a long time to reach the recipient. Only seems to affect the peolle I know with iphones, and then only those with the 5s.

Any ideas?

More likely to be a network issue at a guess. You could try giving your sim card a wipe but I don't think it will help much.

Presumably it's a network issue on the delivery side, as she has narrowed it down to just iPhone 5s handsets, so it might not note anything wrong in her postcode area, (if the recipients are not close by).

How do sim cards actually get dirty, since they are normally inside the phone.  I've never understood that Smiley Very Happy

It's not usually dirt (although I have seen fluff in the sim tray in the past).
More often it's a build up of static.

No harm in checking for network problems. Another thing to try is to force the phone onto another network and when it fails, choose the O2 network again. This should reset the messaging service.

It's usually static build-up on the simcard rather than dirt I would think.
